The basics
Do I need to know anything about contracts?
No. Flagtail shows ordinary business information: what you pay, who you pay and when things are due.
Do I have to type anything in?
No. You upload the agreements. When you sign something new, upload that too.
What kinds of agreements can I upload?
Software subscriptions, equipment leases, service contracts, maintenance agreements, order forms and amendments. If your business pays for something under a signed agreement, it belongs in Flagtail.
What file types work?
PDFs, Word documents, scans and phone photos of paper contracts.
What about amendments and order forms?
Upload them with the agreement they belong to. Flagtail reads them together, applies the later document where it changes a term, and shows which document each detail comes from.
Does Flagtail cancel agreements or contact my vendors?
No. Flagtail shows you what your agreements say. The decisions stay with you.
Accuracy
What if Flagtail isn't sure about something?
It marks it “Needs a look” and shows you where to check. A date is only shown as confirmed when it matches the wording in your agreement.
How does Flagtail check its work?
Every agreement is triple-checked. It's read three separate times, the readings have to agree, and each detail has to match the actual wording on the page. Dates are worked out with plain arithmetic, not by AI.
How is a notice deadline worked out?
From the last day of the term, minus the notice the agreement requires. A twelve-month term that starts January 1 ends December 31. With 60 days' notice, the last day to give notice is November 1.
What if a deadline falls on a weekend?
Flagtail points out that it falls on a weekend and still shows the date the agreement produces. It never moves a date.
What if an agreement counts notice in business days?
Holidays change a business-day count, so Flagtail always marks those dates “Needs a look”.
Is this legal advice?
No. For questions about what you should do under an agreement, talk to your lawyer.
Your information
Who can see my agreements?
Only the people you give access to. You can remove anyone at any time.
Can I take my information with me?
Yes. Your original files and the details Flagtail found are yours to download.
Do AI companies train on my documents?
No. Flagtail only uses AI providers whose terms say they don't train their models on your documents. More on the Security page.
