These terms apply when you use Flagtail or purchase a Flagtail report.

What Flagtail provides

Flagtail provides an automated, outside-in report based on publicly observable website and domain information. The report is intended to help you understand what appears to be working, what may deserve attention, what could not be verified, and what public systems or services we can identify.

What Flagtail is not

Flagtail is not a penetration test, vulnerability assessment, compliance certification, legal opinion, or guarantee that a website or domain is secure, error-free, or configured correctly in every respect. A finding marked “Could not verify” is not a failure; it means the relevant condition could not be confirmed safely from the outside.

Public and authorized use

You may request a report for a public website or domain that you are authorized to evaluate or have a legitimate reason to review. You may not use Flagtail to harass, disrupt, attack, overwhelm, or gain unauthorized access to another person's systems.

Report limitations

Websites change constantly. A report reflects what Flagtail could observe at the time the report was generated. Some services can block automated access, behave differently by location or device, or require login or private information that Flagtail will not provide. We may therefore be unable to verify some items.

Purchases and refunds

Flagtail reports are sold as one-time purchases at the price shown at checkout. If Flagtail cannot produce a usable report because of a service failure or unsupported condition, we may retry the report or issue a refund. A report is not refundable merely because it finds few or no significant issues in the areas we were able to verify.

No remediation sales

Flagtail does not sell remediation services as part of the report. The report is yours to keep and share, and you decide whether to act on a finding, how to address it, and who-if anyone-you want to involve.

No professional advice

Reports are informational. You are responsible for deciding whether a finding requires technical, legal, security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, or other professional review.

Acceptable use and service availability

We may refuse or stop a report if continuing would be unsafe, technically impractical, abusive, unlawful, or inconsistent with these terms. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as it evolves.

Intellectual property

Flagtail's site, software, branding, report structure, and original content belong to Flagtail or its licensors. Your purchased report may be kept, downloaded, and shared for your own business or professional purposes.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flagtail is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every issue will be detected or that every finding will be applicable to your particular circumstances. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
